Morning Beauty Routine
-
- Wash Your Face: First, you must start with a clean face! Washing your face should always be the first step in your beauty routine, both morning and night! The reason you want to wash your face before you do your makeup is that it gets any dirt, oil, or impurities from the night before off your face, which makes for a smoother makeup application. At night, when you sleep is when your body regenerates and recharges, and that includes your face. Your skin is shedding dead skin cells and toxins are being pushed out of your body through your pores. That’s why you want to wash your face.
- Toner: Use toner in areas where you may need it, such as your T-Zone. Wait one (1) minute, or until your face is dry.
- Daytime Moisturizer: Gently spread a light amount of daytime face moisturizer onto your face and down your neck. Let it soak in for three (3) to five (5) minutes.
- Eye Cream: (This Step Is Optional) Then, use some eye cream. This will make a world of difference in how your makeup looks, especially if you are 25+ (like myself). Let that sit for three (3) to five (5) minutes. You can use this time to get together the makeup and brushes/sponge that you want to use for the day.
- Eyeshadow Primer: Pat your eyeshadow primer on your lids with your finger. Immediately set your eyeshadow primer with a setting powder or eyeshadow that is the shade of your skin. Either one works just fine. You want to set your eyeshadow primer quickly, so it doesn’t crease.
- Eyeshadow: Now it’s time to do your eye makeup (Eyeshadow/Eyeliner) but wait until your whole face is done until you do your eyelashes.
- Face Primer: Now onto your face: Smooth your makeup primer all over your face and neck with your fingers using circular motions. Let your primer sit on your face for two (2) to three (3) minutes.
- Foundation: Put your liquid foundation on. I prefer using a moist Beautyblender® but you can use whatever you’d like or whatever works best for you.
- Setting Powder: Set your foundation with either a setting powder or a powder foundation version of the liquid foundation you are using.
- Contour: Now it’s time to contour your cheeks, jaw, hairline, and nose (optional).
- Bronzer: Then, put your bronzer along your v
- Apply your blush onto the apples of your cheeks.
- Then, apply a highlighter to the bridge of your nose, your cupids bow, and cheekbones. Go light on the highlighter when doing daytime makeup looks!
- False Eyelashes: Once you’ve finished with all the powders on your face, it’s time to put on your eyelashes (optional).
- Mascara: Now apply mascara to your eyelashes.
- Setting Spray: Lightly spritz a setting spray on your face and you are now ready to take on the world!
Evening Beauty Routine
- 1. Remove Your Makeup: Wash the day’s makeup off with a makeup remover or a makeup-removing cleanser.
- 2. Wash Your Face: Afterward, wash your face with a regular cleanser to help get anything that your makeup remover left behind. Using a cleanser after you use a makeup remover also helps to prep your face for your serum, moisturizer, or facial oil.
- 3. Toner: Use toner in areas that you may need it, such as your T-Zone. Wait one (1) minute, or until dry before moving on to the next step.
- 4. Facial Oil &/or Serum: Lightly massage any serum or facial oil that you might be using all over your face, and neck. Let sit for two (2) to three (3) minutes. If you’re using facial oil, then the following steps are up to you if you want to do.
- 5. Eye Cream: Use your eye cream. Let that sit for two (2) to three (3) minutes.
- 6. Nighttime Moisturizer: Lastly, massage your night cream all over your face, and neck. Now your beauty routine for the evening is done! Get some rest!

Conclusion
In conclusion, following a proper order for your morning and nighttime beauty routines is essential for maintaining healthy and glowing skin. Starting with a gentle cleanser and ending with a moisturizer will help remove impurities and hydrate the skin.
It is important to pay attention to the specific needs of your skin and choose the right products accordingly. Incorporating sunscreen in the morning routine can also protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
Following a consistent routine can also lead to long-term benefits and help prevent skin damage and premature aging. So, take care of your skin and give it the care and attention it deserves for a healthy and radiant complexion.
